Vehicle recall – Ford Kuga PHEV – 2019 to 2020
The Kuga PHEV has been recalled by Ford under reference R/2020/224 (20S38/20S44), as the high voltage battery pack can overheat and result in the venting of hot gas which can ignite vehicle components, or in extreme cases the entire vehicle.
Vehicle recall – smart fortwo and forfour – 2018 to 2019
The fortwo and forfour has been recalled by smart under reference R/2020/195 (SRS2001), as the software for the advanced emergency braking system may not meet the correct specification.

Kia recalls Soul and Sorento models
Kia Motors (UK) Ltd., is recalling a small number of Soul and new Sorento models in order to deal with a door wiring issue. As part of Kia’s continuous quality improvement programme a potential fault has been identified in a small section of the door wiring loom that controls the “mood” lighting in Soul and Sorento models.
Mazda3 diesel recalled for power steering inspection
Mazda UK is asking owners of some Mazda3 cars from October onwards to visit their local dealer for a free precautionary technical check of the power steering system. In the absence of power assistance the vehicles remain safe to drive. This is part of a Special Service Programme to check for possible residual particles in the power steering pipes which could cause the hydraulic power assistance system and its electric pump to overheat and shutdown.
