Diesel & Eco Car – Issue 429 – September 2022

The Volkswagen Amarok dominates the front cover of the September issue of Diesel&EcoCar, a design that is shared with the upcoming Ford Ranger. We’ve also got the first photos of the striking new Hyundai Ioniq 6, pictures of the facelifted Kia XCeed and the first news of Mazda’s brand new 3.3-litre diesel engine that’s set to be installed in the CX-60 from early next year, and the upcoming CX-80 seven-seater. There are also images of the updated Lexus ES, the Volkswagen ID. Aero and Ford’s electric Supervan, and an early preview of Skoda’s new interior concept that’s set to feature on cars like the upcoming new Superb.

We’ve been driving Nissan’s new Ariya and Qashqai e-Power, as well as the Kia Niro Hybrid and the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer. On UK turf, we’ve been behind the wheel of the Citroën C5 X, the Skoda Karoq and Volkswagen Taigo. We also welcome the Cupra Born and Skoda Scala Monte Carlo to the long-term fleet, but wave goodbye to the MG 5 EV. This month’s comprehensive used car buyer’s guide has a French flavour and is all about the DS 7 Crossback.
