Description
The June 2026 edition is a bumper issue – the biggest of the year – where we count down the 50 best electrified cars that you can buy, as well as crowning a new Electrified Car of the Year. With this year’s winner, we were bowled over by its chummy character, affordable price and excellent road manners. You’ll have to pick up a copy of the latest issue to find out what it is.
We’ve got the first photos of the Hyundai Ioniq 3, which is proudly displayed on the cover. Alongside it in the news pages, we’ve got information on the new Lexus TZ, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class EV, Vauxhall Corsa GSE, Volkswagen ID. Polo and updated BMW i7. There’s also first details on KGM’s Musso pick-up diesel, the Renault 4 E-Tech Roland Garros, Porsche Cayenne Coupé, facelifted Nissan Ariya and the revised Audi Q4 e-tron, in addition to the upcoming Omoda 4.
Our test team have been trying out the facelifted Cupra Born, the DS No8, Nissan Micra and Mercedes-Benz GLB, as well as the BYD Atto 3 Evo, Peugeot 408 plug-in hybrid and Jaecoo 8. Completing this month’s tests are the Fiat Grande Panda Electric, Cupra Formentor eHybrid and Land Rover Defender 110Trophy Edition with mighty D350 engine. We welcome a Citroën C5 Aircross plug-in hybrid to the Our Cars garage, alongside a Vauxhall Frontera and Isuzu D-Max pick-up, just as we wave goodbye to our Renault Symbioz.
The Mazda MX-30 Electric is under the spotlight in this month’s used car buyer’s guide, and we also examine three different generations of the Renault Captur. We pitch the Genesis GV70 diesel up against the Land Rover Discovery Sport D200 and ask whether the Citroën C3 Pluriel was a hero or a zero. We also take a trip down memory lane, looking back at the SEAT Altea Freetrack 4. This is in addition to all of your other favourite features including Motorgrump, Fully Equipped, Bright Spark, and the most up-to-date data section in the magazine business. Don’t forget to check out one of our newest columns, Grand Designs, that places a spotlight on the Jaguar C-XF concept car from 2007, as well as an interesting look at past prototypes, clay models and design sketches, some or all of which you may never have seen before.
