Description

The cover of the April 2022 issue of Diesel&EcoCar features one of the most extreme pick-ups ever, with the new generation Ford Ranger Raptor on sale here next year. We’ve also got news on the Nissan Juke Hybrid, updated Nissan Leaf and the Jeep Grand Cherokee that arrives in showrooms this summer. There’s also news about Polestar’s upcoming 5 and the O2 concept, and Lexus’ new electric sports car. Finally, we’ve got all of the exciting electrification plans for Ford and Kia.

We’ve been behind the wheel of Vauxhall’s latest Astra in diesel guise and tested the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric. In addition, we’ve driven the Lexus NX 350h on UK soil and spent time with the BMW X7 xDrive40d M Sport, the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense Opera and Skoda Scala Monte Carlo. This month’s twin test is all about the Genesis G70 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class – has the newest luxury brand from Korea got the ability to take on Stuttgart’s finest? We also welcome the Hyundai Tucson PHEV and Honda HR-V Hybrid to our long-term test fleet, and you can read all about how our testers get on with these newcomers to the Diesel&EcoCar car park.

It’s the Tuning and Economy special issue, and we guide you through the essential things you need to know before modifying your car. We’ve got a handy glossary, checks that you should do before even attempting to uprate your car, and a look at whether a tuning box or remap is king. Finally, we explore LPG conversions and how you could be saving money as fuel prices hit record levels. We also examine the Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk6 and tell you how best to upgrade it.

This month’s used car buyer’s guide is all about the Citroën C3 Aircross, in our newly expanded Buying and Selling section. In fact, the whole magazine has had revisions to the content and design, in addition to the move to the newly truncated Diesel&EcoCar name. We believe that it is now better than ever. There are all your favourites from before the facelift, including The Doctor, Bright Spark, Tech Zone, Legal i, Current Affairs and Gadget Inspector. There’s also the most comprehensive and up-to-date data section in the business, with added content and snippets there, too.
