Volkswagen T-Cross – the launch countdown begins

The countdown for the launch of the new Volkswagen T-Cross has begun. The world première of the most compact Volkswagen SUV will be celebrated in autumn. Volkswagen says the slogan “I am more” will accompany the launch in spring 2019 – apparently it stands for the four so-called property fields “I am practical”, “I am cool”, “I am intuitive” and “I am safe”.

Second V6 TDI engine option for the Volkswagen Touareg

Volkswagen is making available to order a new turbo diesel engine for the all-new Touareg range. The 3.0-litre V6 TDI unit has an output of 228 bhp and joins the 282 bhp TDI engine that the Touareg launched with in June.

New turbodiesel option for the Volkswagen T-Roc

Volkswagen’s SUV range expansion continues with news of a new turbodiesel engine option in the T-Roc compact SUV. When T-Roc debuted in Volkswagen Retailers across the UK at the turn of the year, two petrol engines were available. With the arrival of the latest engine option, the range now comprises three petrol and two diesel engines.

Volkswagen sets out car sharing plans

The Volkswagen brand will be offering its customers car sharing services in future. The WE customer platform is to begin rolling out various vehicle-on-demand services, in particular car sharing, in Germany in 2019. These services are to be extended to major cities in Europe, North America and Asia as early as 2020. This was announced by the Volkswagen Brand Board Member for Sales, Jürgen Stackmann, at an event held in Berlin.

Volkswagen readies Crafter-based California camper for Caravan Salon

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has taken the 2017 California XXL concept vehicle and developed it into a camper van ready for full production. The company will present the new Crafter-based camper for the first time at the 2018 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (24 August to 2 September).
