Expanded Volkswagen ID.3 range dips below £30K

Just four weeks after the first British customers collected their ID.3 1ST Editions, Volkswagen has announced pricing for the seven pre-configured series ID.3 models. The lowest-priced of these net carbon-neutral models, the ID.3 Life, will cost £29,990 including the £3,000 plug-in car grant. Orders for the new models will open next week with first deliveries expected before the end of the month.

UK deliveries of the Volkswagen ID.3 commence

Volkswagen has celebrated a significant milestone, as handovers of the ID.3 1ST Edition have commenced. The first limited-edition cars were handed over to British customers last week. Volkswagen says the ID.3 introduces the brand’s third era, and democratises electric mobility after the original Beetle – the People’s Car, which took mobility to the masses – and the Golf, which brought innovation and luxury to the motoring public.

All-electric Volkswagen ID.3 arrives in the UK

A major milestone in Volkswagen’s latest chapter has been marked with the arrival of the Volkswagen ID.3 in the UK. The first shipment of customer cars – limited, ID.3 1ST Edition specification models – has reached British shores at port in Grimsby, ready to make its way to customers on the final stage of a journey which began on the production line in Zwickau, Germany.

Electric Volkswagen ID.3 sets its first range record

The new Volkswagen ID.3 has set its first range record: The electric car covered the 531 kilometres (330 miles) from Zwickau to Schaffhausen (Switzerland) on a single charge. Officially, the model has a range of up to 420 kilometers (261 miles, WLTP). This mark was topped by more than 100 kilometres (62 miles) – an increase of 26 percent.

ICE age ends at VW’s Zwickau plant

The last model with a combustion engine has left the assembly line at the Zwickau car factory. The seventh-generation Golf R Estate with 2.0-litre petrol engine in Oryx White Pearl Effect was produced for a customer in Germany. From today on, only electric models of Volkswagen and in future also of the sister brands Audi and Seat will be produced in Zwickau.
