Entry-level models added to Volkswagen ID.3 range
The Volkswagen ID.3 will be available from £28,370 in new Pure Performance guise. Two trims – entry-level City and design-focused Style – become available with the new powertrain, in addition to the Pro, Pro Performance and Pro S versions already on sale in the UK. The Pure Performance is differentiated by its lighter 45 kWh (net) battery, 148 bhp power output and 229 ft lb of torque.
Volkswagen expands the ID.3 line-up
The Volkswagen ID.3 Pro is available to order now, bringing the multi award-winning electric hatchback’s entry price to £28,670. The Pro electric motor option is available across the ID.3’s Life, Business and Family specifications, and offers a second, 143 bhp power output in addition to the introductory 201 bhp Pro Performance version.
Production start at second site for Volkswagen’s ID.3
The Transparent Factory in Dresden has begun series production of the fully electric ID.3. This makes it the second production site for the ID.3 and the fourth site in the world producing Volkswagen models based on the Modular Electric Drive Toolkit (MEB).
Out with the e-Golf and in with the ID.3 at Volkswagen’s Dresden factory
The last Volkswagen e-Golf has rolled off the production line at VW’s ‘Transparent Factory’ in Dresden. With the e-Golf in Urano Grey, a total of 50,401 vehicles have been manufactured in Dresden since March 2017. At the beginning of the new year 2021, the production area of the Transparent Factory will be reconstructed for three weeks before the first ID.3 series vehicles roll off the assembly lines in Dresden at the end of January.
