Straight six and mild hybrid tech for the Range Rover

Land Rover has offering a new engine and mild hybrid technology for its Range Rover flagship. With the latest 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, “enhanced performance and quicker responses go hand-in-hand with improved fuel economy at the pinnacle of the luxury SUV segment”.

48 V mild hybrid tech for new Hyundai Tucson

The new Hyundai Tucson will be equipped with a fuel-efficient 48V mild hybrid powertrain. It is the first model in the company’s line-up – and one of the first in the industry – to offer the new technology. It will be launched across Europe in the summer. In addition to the upgraded powertrain portfolio, all Tucson engines meet the new Euro 6d Temp emission standards. The New Tucson also offers a major design update and wider range of advanced technology and convenience features.

Diesel mild-hybrid powertrain for updated Kia Sportage

Kia Motors has revealed the new Sportage, introducing a range of enhancements to the brand’s UK, European and global best-seller. The new model pairs an updated exterior and interior design with new safety and infotainment technologies. Powertrains are also fully-compliant with future emissions standards.

Kia readies 48V diesel mild hybrid powertrain

Kia Motors will introduce its first 48V diesel mild-hybrid powertrain in the second half of 2018. The new ‘EcoDynamics+’ powertrain reduces CO2 emissions by supplementing acceleration with electric power from an additional 48-volt battery and extending combustion engine ‘off time’ using a new Mild-Hybrid Starter-Generator unit. Kia says the compact nature of the components means the technology can be integrated into existing vehicle and powertrain architectures without impacting practicality or packaging.
