Buyers snap up first 1,000 electric MGs in two weeks
MG Motor UK has smashed its new car pre-sales records by securing 1,000 orders for its MG ZS EV in just two weeks. Having officially launched the car to the press and public on 17th July, MG has experienced unprecedented demand as customers raced to be one of the first 1,000 retail customers to snap up the electric SUV from just £21,495.
MG opens the order books for all-electric ZS EV
MG Motor UK has opened the order bank and released further details about its first-ever fully electric car that has been unveiled at the London Motor Show at London’s ExCel. Customers will be able to place a deposit for the ZS EV directly with the MG team at the show. The ZS EV is powered by a 44.5kWh water-cooled battery with rapid-charging capability that will enable it to be recharged from 0-80 per cent in 43 minutes, while domestic charging on a 7kW unit takes six-and-a-half hours from 0-100 per cent. Certified range on current WLTP test regulations is expected to be confirmed in Q3.

MG’s GS SUV range starts at £14,995
MG Motor UK has officially launched its new SUV, the MG GS. Prices start at £14,995 and rise to £19,495 for cars with a manual transmission and £20,995 for the automatic DCT (dual-clutch transmission) models. There is also a full five year factory warranty as standard on the GS, which MG says has been designed and engineered at Longbridge in Birmingham.

MG Motor UK is set to unveil the all-new GS SUV at next week’s London Motor Show. MG previously announced in October last year that it was the first volume manufacturer to confirm attendance at the London based car show.
