Description
The annual countdown of the Top 50 used cars features in the February 2020 edition of DieselCar & EcoCar magazine. Our team of experts examine every used car in the marketplace today and recommends 50 of the best second-hand cars that you can buy today, identifying segment leaders and crowning our 2020 Used Car of the Year.
A couple of compact crossover vehicles feature in this month’s twin test, as the Skoda Kamiq goes head-to-head with the Volkswagen T-Cross. Our road testers have also put the all-new Vauxhall Corsa through its paces, along with a prototype version of the Mazda MX-30 electric vehicle, the BMW X5 xDrive45e and the latest X6. We’ve also driven the Mercedes-Benz A-Class saloon and EQC electric SUV, the mildly facelifted 2020 Honda Civic EX Sport Line, the Jaguar E-Pace with newly accredited RDE2 emissions compliant engine and the Range Rover Velar in D180 HSE guise.
There’s a preview of the next-generation SEAT Leon, news about Jaguar Land Rover’s purchase of Bowler and the first information on the engine range for Vauxhall’s facelifted Insignia. In EcoCar, Sony shocks the motoring world with its Vision-S concept car, Kia announces two new plug-in hybrids, Fiat reveals mild hybrid versions of the 500 and Panda and Suzuki unveils plans to introduce mild-hybrid versions of its Swift Sport, Vitara and S-Cross. BMW announces new plug-in hybrid versions of the X1 and X2 and the first information on Renault’s Clio and Captur E-Tech hybrids is revealed.
We welcome four new cars to our long-term test fleet, including the Skoda Superb SportLine Plus Estate and Volvo XC60 B4 AWD and sub-110g/km petrol editions of the Peugeot 308 GT Line and SEAT Ibiza FR. This month’s comprehensive used car buyer’s guide is all about the Nissan Juke 1.5 dCi.
