Millers to the rescue!

Many thanks for the information given in your e-mail regarding my Mercedes-Benz E 320 CDI that kept losing almost all its power when I was out on the road. (See issue 325 Doc) The local Mercedes-Benz garage told me that I needed a new turbo at a cost of £1,500! A second garage said very similar things to yourself, which was good news. A friend then recommended me to try Millers Diesel Fuel Additive, which I have now used and have since not had a problem with the turbo. This confirms the information you have given, so I will now go to the second Mercedes-Benz garage and in the hope that they will be able to diagnose the problem and rectify it hopefully for less than £1,500. I would like to thank you for your prompt response to my query and for the excellent information given, which was greatly appreciated.

Great news. For once I didn’t suggest Millers, as I thought the problem was more fundamental, but as you know, I’m a great fan of the stuff. I should stop worrying if the problem doesn’t recur, and keep using the Millers, which is a far more cost-effective solution than buying fancy premium diesel. I don’t think you mentioned what fuel you had been using. Being a Yorkshireman, perhaps you’ve been using supermarket fuel in that nice car that deserves better!
Regards, Doc
