Doctor, I took on board your previous comments about rejection (of his troublesome C4 Grand Picasso – see Issue 336) and sent a letter to the CEO of Citroën UK this week, and in that regard, we would be very grateful for the assistance of anyone who could help light a fire under the rear end of the right people at Citroën. We don’t really want to get rid of the car, but we don’t have any other choice but to threaten to reject it at present.
Then later…..after I enquired on progress
Thanks for your interest Doctor. Finally, after nearly four months, Citroën sent a technical engineer to the Ashford agents to inspect the car last week, and they have decided to replace the automatic gearbox. First the engine was replaced in October, after nearly six months of shouting and swearing, and threatening rejection to the CEO. Now, only after doing the same thing to the CEO again, has anything concrete happened. Well, it hasn’t happened yet, and won’t for a few days yet, because my local agent’s number one technician (a man who I trust completely) is on annual leave from the end of this week until then.
