Volkswagen adds new trim options for the Touareg

Volkswagen has expanded the line-up for its Touareg SUV, adding entry-level, mid-range and high-end specifications with a focus on technology to double the number of available variants on offer. The models arrive shortly after the brand announced its 48-hour test drive programme would be expanded to include the Touareg.

Geneva premiere for new VW Touareg V8 TDI

Volkswagen is will celebrate the world premiere of the new Touareg V8 TDI at next week’s Geneva International Motor Show. Its output of 415 bhp makes it the most powerful SUV with a diesel engine from a German manufacturer. The maximum torque of the high tech turbo diesel engine reaches 663 ft lb. The new flagship vehicle will come on the market at the end of May.

Second V6 TDI engine option for the Volkswagen Touareg

Volkswagen is making available to order a new turbo diesel engine for the all-new Touareg range. The 3.0-litre V6 TDI unit has an output of 228 bhp and joins the 282 bhp TDI engine that the Touareg launched with in June.

Volkswagen has opened the order books for its new flagship SUV – the third generation Touareg. Boasting the latest assistance systems, some of them appearing for the first time in a Volkswagen, the Touareg also offers the option of the new Innovision Cockpit which comprises an intuitive digital operating, information, communication and entertainment unit that can be fully personalised.
