Volkswagen restarts limited production of the electric ID.3

The Volkswagen plant in Zwickau is gradually restarting production of electric cars. Production of the all-electric ID.3 has resumed this week, initially with reduced capacity and significantly slower cycle times. Numerous additional measures to protect the health of the workforce are being implemented, and the restart is also oriented to the gradual stabilization of international supply chains. “We all have a historic task to accomplish. That task is to protect the health of our employees – and at the same time get business back on track responsibly”, said Thomas Ulbrich, Volkswagen Brand Board Member for E-Mobility and Speaker of the Management Board of Volkswagen Sachsen.
Volkswagen offers special deals on used vans

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ used van programme now includes a limited-time offer across the range with unique discounts on purchasing and service and maintenance plans. The offer, available between March 11 and March 31, is available across the range. One deal provides a £1,500 deposit contribution on used California vans as well as two free services when purchased on finance (5.9 per cent APR representative).
Volkswagen previews ID.4 electric SUV

Volkswagen has been providing an insight into the brand’s first all-electric SUV following the cancellation of the Geneva Motor Show. The new ID.4 will be launched this year. Following in the tracks of the ID.33, the countdown has already begun for the second model based on the new modular electric drive matrix (MEB). “Just like the ID.3, the ID.4 will also come onto the market as a carbon-neutral vehicle”, explains Ralf Brandstätter, Chief Operating Officer of the Volkswagen brand. “We will produce and sell the ID.4 in Europe, China and the U.S..”

UK pricing revealed as new Volkswagen Golf goes on sale
