Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles are presenting five world innovations at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Fair, among them a new variant of the Volkswagen Amarok, which has successfully secured its place on the market. The markets are on a course set for growth, with worldwide deliveries to customers rising by the end of August 2010 by 18.1 percent, to 269,800 light commercial vehicles.
Volkswagen has unveiled its new Dakar challenger, the Race Touareg 3. Replacing the Race Touareg 2, twice winner in 2009 and 2010 of the gruelling Dakar Rally and the first diesel-powered vehicle ever to win the event, the new Race Touareg 3 promises to be faster and more efficient while retaining the immense strength and durability of the outgoing car.
Since its market launch in 1974, the Scirocco compact sports coupé has been the most successful Volkswagen in its segment: 795,650 vehicles were sold up to 1992. Currently, the third generation is being manufactured.
The new Volkswagen Touran compact MPV opens for ordering today complete with fresh styling both inside and out, a range of efficient new engines and a starting price of £17,585 RRP on the road. First deliveries are set to take place on 22 September.
