Volkswagen says Golf micro-hybrid petrol is as efficient as diesel

Volkswagen says it is now offering a petrol engine claimed to offer diesel-like fuel economy but which is significantly cheaper to buy. The new 1.5 TSI ACT BlueMotion has an output of 96 kW / 128 bhp and is currently already powering the Golf and Golf Variant. In the future, the 1.5 TSI ACT BlueMotion will also be available for other Volkswagen models
Volkswagen produces two-millionth Caddy in Poland

Volkswagen Poznań, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, has produced its two-millionth Caddy at its Antoninek factory produced its two-millionth Caddy. The landmark vehicle went to Polish aid organisation ‘St. Brother Albert’. The vehicle was a fourth generation Caddy Maxi Trendline 7-seater in Candy White. In the last year alone around 165,000 Caddy vehicles were produced (up 3.8 per cent), the highest number since the formation of Volkswagen Poznań in 1993.
