Vauxhall prepares for Ellesmere Port restart

During its closure, the Groupe PSA Vauxhall site at Ellesmere Port has remained “active” and implemented a protocol of reinforced health measures. This protocol, now approved by Management, has been fully audited, in order to assess its implementation. Ellesmere Port’s Management team has invited Unite, representing plant employees, to make a final review of the safety protocols, before a resumption of manufacturing activity can begin.

Vauxhall boosts fixed price repair programme at dealerships

Vauxhall has announced a new initiative across its national service and repair network intended to position its retailers as “go-to” outlets for parts and service, while offering prices it says would normally only seen in the aftermarket sector. The services are offered under the Vauxhall Fixed Price Repairs banner.

Vauxhall staff switch from van-making to ventilators

Vauxhall is providing 22 staff to the Luton site of Smiths Medical, a division of Smiths Group plc, which is being tasked with significantly increasing production of Smiths Group’s paraPAC plus. These ventilators are approved and have been in use within the NHS for over 10 years. The staff – 20 assemblers, plus a Team Leader and Supervisor – were hand-picked from Vauxhall’s Kimpton Road Plant that produces the Vivaro van. They were chosen due to their specialist skills and ability to carry out intricate production work to a very high standard.

Vauxhall achieves RDE2 emissions compliance across the range

Vauxhall says it has become the first mainstream volume manufacturer to achieve full RDE2 compliance across its entire model line-up, giving company car drivers and businesses significant savings. Meeting the second phase of the European Union Real Driving Emissions (RDE) test will become mandatory for all new diesel vehicles registered after January 2021. Now Vauxhall says it has achieved compliance nearly a year ahead of the legislation for its entire model line-up, including the all-new Corsa and new Astra.

Zero interest deals for the new Vauxhall Corsa

Vauxhall’s all-new Corsa is available on personal contract purchase (PCP) from £211 per month with zero per cent interest and £0 deposit. The company says that the new model has the most efficient Corsa powertrains ever. It also has modern infotainment and connectivity, including multimedia systems with up to 10-inch touchscreens, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. IntelliLux LED headlights are available for the first time on a Corsa.
