All-electric Skoda Enyaq iV starts at £33,450

Skoda has announced UK prices and specifications for the all-new Enyaq iV SUV – the brand’s first series-production vehicle to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s modular electrification toolkit (MEB). The all-electric SUV will be available in the UK with two battery size options, two (rear-wheel drive) and four-wheel drive transmission and various model variants with prices starting from £33,450 (excluding UK Plug-in Car Grant).

Remote charging for Skodas via Amazon Alexa

Drivers of Skoda’s all-electric Citigoe iV and Superb iV plug-in hybrid can now use Amazon Alexa voice assistants to start or stop charging remotely and check on the remaining range of their cars, all from the comfort of their home. The new features are part of a raft of upgrades added to the Skoda Connect service, with iV owners now able to perform a range of actions to simplify the charging and management of their electric vehicle.

Skoda Octavia vRS gets plug-in option

Skoda is continuing the tradition of its performance vRS models in the fourth-generation Octavia. This model is the first from Skoda offered in three different drive systems. In addition to the Octavia vRS versions with either a petrol or a diesel engine, the Octavia vRS iV – the brand’s first vRS plug-in hybrid – is now being launched. Both the 2.0 TSI Octavia vRS and the Octavia vRS iV have an output of 180 kW (242 bhp). The 2.0 TDI produces 147 kW (197 bhp) and is the only model in the vRS range to be available with all-wheel drive on request. All three variants feature sporty bodywork detailing including vRS-typical black touches.

New Skoda Octavia is open for business

Skoda is targeting fleet customers and company car drivers with the launch of all-new Octavia SE Technology models. The brand has developed a significant presence in the fleet sector, largely thanks to these SE Technology variants that have been created specifically to meet the demands of company car drivers.
