All-electric Polestar 2 to debut at Geneva

Polestar has taken the next step in its development as the electric performance brand with the reveal of the new Polestar 2, a new all-electric fastback. The company says the new car “offers avant-garde design and a unique customer experience in the premium compact electric segment” and that Polestar 2 is “the first electric car to compete in the marketplace around the Tesla Model 3, with the range starting at a guide price of 39,900 euros”. For the first 12 months of production, guide price of the launch edition is 59,900 euros

First Polestar 1 prototypes produced in Sweden

Momentum in the development of the Polestar 1 has increased with the production of the first series of road-going verification prototype (VP) cars in Sweden. Produced for a number of purposes including crash tests, weather testing and on-road assessment, the VP cars form the very first fleet of Polestar 1 cars on the road.

Polestar 1, the first car from the new electric performance brand Polestar, is now available for pre-ordering in 18 countries around the world. The Polestar 1 is currently making its first public appearance at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show.
