BMW updates the X1

The new updated BMW X1 will be offered with three- and four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo engines, BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive, extensive infotainment options and an updated range of BMW ConnectedDrive Services. Next year the petrol and diesel models will be joined for the first time by the xDrive25e plug-in hybrid model.
Plug-in hybrid Audi Q5 offers 26-mile electric range

The new Q5 55 TFSI e will offer a range of over 26 miles and a top speed of 84mph in electric-only mode, which Audi says should enable the new hybrid Q5 to cover most everyday driving distances – including motorway journeys – without backup from the petrol engine. Available to order in the UK from the beginning of June, with first deliveries scheduled during quarter four of this year, the Audi Q5 55 TFSI e quattro will be priced at around £55,000
BMW’s plug-in sales up 38 per cent in 2018

The BMW Group sold more than 140,000 electrified (battery-electric and plug-in hybrid) vehicles in 2018. In total, 142,617 (+38.4 per cent) electrified BMW and MINI vehicles were delivered to customers around the world last year
Ford extends Transit Custom plug-in hybrid trials to Valencia

Ford is already investigating how plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) can operate in London, and has now announced it will also begin testing of similar vehicles in Valencia in Spain. The collaboration between Ford Smart Mobility, the regional government of Valencia and the Valencia City leadership, is designed to see how Transit Custom PHEV fleets could contribute to cleaner air targets and enhanced productivity.
