Nissan’s expertise in electric vehicles and motorsport experience have come together in the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC – a showcase of “the power, innovation and excitement of Nissan electric vehicle technology”. The all-wheel-drive LEAF NISMO RC boasts more than double the maximum power and torque output of its predecessor, which was based on the first-generation LEAF and revealed in 2011.
Nissan is starting the new decade with the launch of a tech and design edition on its core models Qashqai and X-Trail. Called N-TEC, this special version will “upscale the range, with an exclusive, luxury look”. All of the models feature “unique, sleek, black external styling additions, so customers can begin the 2020s at the wheel of their sophisticated N-TEC Qashqai or X-Trail”.
Nissan is gearing up to close a record 2019 for EV demand that has seen the UK market share for all-electric cars more than double year-on-year. The company says that to cement the Leaf’s position as “one of the most accessible, and readily available, electric vehicles on the market”, it is reducing the ‘On The Road’ price of its LEAF 40kWh range by £1,650 on all grades.
Nissan has revamped its mid and full-size van range, updating both the NV300 and NV400 with more efficient engines, new interiors and smart tech options. The new models feature more efficient powertrains meeting new Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standards, with cleaner engines and reduced NOx.
