Kia adds plug-in hybrid to the new Sorento range

Kia Motors has revealed the all-new Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, an ultra-low emissions version of the brand’s flagship SUV. The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid is the second electrified model in the all-new Sorento line-up, and sits alongside the low-emissions Sorento Hybrid. The new variant combines a turbocharged petrol engine with a high capacity battery pack and high output electric motor, giving drivers the ability to complete shorter drives on all-electric, zero-emissions power.

Prices and specs for the new Kia Sorento

Following the global unveil of the new fourth generation Sorento in March, Kia has announced pricing and specification information for the UK market. The Sorento is the flagship for Kia’s European SUV line-up, alongside the Stonic, Niro and Sportage.

Kia boosts UK supply for e-Niro

Since its launch in 2018, the Kia e-Niro has acquired a growing list of back orders. For 2020 Kia Motors (UK) Ltd. says it has worked alongside Kia Motors Corporation in Korea to increase the UK supply to satisfy customers and in July, Kia UK delivered more e-Niros in one month than in the entirety of 2019. Now, into H2 of 2020, availability has been increased even further, allowing for the shortest lead times for the MY20 e-Niro since launch. Customers who order a MY20 e-Niro now can expect to receive their car in September, in time for the new ‘70’ registration plate change or during Quarter Four.

Mild hybrid power for updated Kia Stonic

Kia launches MyKia customer app

Kia Motors (UK) Limited has launched the MyKia app to give owners access to a range of new services and tools on their mobile phone. Kia owners will now have access to several one-click services on the go including booking a service, click and collect accessory ordering as well as information on current offers and the latest news from the brand. The current MyKia desktop platform currently has over 50,000 active Kia customers and with the introduction of the app, owners can access all the features from their mobile phone as well.
