JLR Ingenium engine reaches 1.5 million milestone

Jaguar Land Rover has now produced over 1.5 million Ingenium engines at its Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, UK, which makes a range of clean and electrified powertrains for all Jaguar and Land Rover models.  

New powertrains for Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai Motor has revealed details of the new Santa Fe’s powertrain line-up, new platform and range of features. “The new Santa Fe represents a significant milestone in the history of Hyundai. With a new platform, new transmissions and new technology, it is cleaner, more agile, and more efficient than ever before,” says Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President and Head of Product Division at Hyundai Motor Company. “With the introduction of our new Santa Fe, our whole SUV line-up will be available with electrified versions, ranging from 48V mild hybrid solutions to fuel cell.”

Renault adds Captur PHEV and Clio hybrid to range

Renault UK has confirmed full specifications of new E-TECH versions of its two most popular model line-ups: the Captur Plug-in Hybrid and the Clio Hybrid. The new Captur Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) benefits from a new petrol-electric powertrain, while the Clio Hybrid gets a petrol hybrid setup that is also capable of completing most urban journeys in zero-emissions electric mode.

Honda releases prices for the e:HEV hybrid powered Jazz and Jazz Crosstar models

Honda UK has released pricing information for the all-new e:HEV hybrid powered Jazz and Jazz Crosstar models, the latest additions to the company’s growing e:Technology range of vehicles. Recommended prices for the Jazz e:HEV will begin at £18,980 for the SE grade, capable of returning in excess of 62mpg whilst emitting just 102g/KM, rising to £20,180 for the mid-level SR grade, £21,380 for the top spec EX and then £23,580 for the range topping two-tone Crosstar EX grade.

Ambitious electrification plans for Maserati

All new Maserati models will be 100 per cent developed, engineered and built in Italy, and will adopt hybrid and battery electric propulsion systems “delivering all the innovation and outstanding performance typical of the Brand’s DNA”. Following on from the announcement of testing of the new full electric powerplants to be installed on future Maserati models, the development and production plans for the Trident Brand’s electrified range are now presented.
