Ford has confirmed that the new Ranger Raptor – described as the toughest and most high-performing version of Europe’s best-selling pick-up – is coming to Europe, as the new model debuted at the Gamescom trade fair, in Cologne, Germany.
Owners of Ford’s high-performance diesel, the Focus ST diesel, can now unlock even more performance with the launch of mountune’s m460D power upgrade kit. The m460D kit includes an OBDII flashing cable, dongle, performance calibration and a mountune badge. With a focus on real-world performance, mountune’s calibration is claimed to reduce the 0-60mph time by 0.7 seconds and cut the 31-62mph time by 0.5 second
Volkswagen AG and Ford Motor Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and are exploring a strategic alliance designed to “strengthen each company’s competitiveness and better serve customers globally.”
Ford is already investigating how plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) can operate in London, and has now announced it will also begin testing of similar vehicles in Valencia in Spain. The collaboration between Ford Smart Mobility, the regional government of Valencia and the Valencia City leadership, is designed to see how Transit Custom PHEV fleets could contribute to cleaner air targets and enhanced productivity.
Ford has unveiled an all-new Focus, which is now on sale for September delivery. The company says all main models will offer enhanced specification while being priced more competitively or at carry-over levels. The new Focus range will comprise seven variants from launch. Starting with Style, the range progresses through Zetec, ST-Line, ST-Line X, Titanium, Titanium X and Vignale.
