Britain’s second-best selling vehicle is a van

The Ford Transit Custom commercial vehicle was Britain’s No.2 top-selling vehicle among all vehicles sold in October, only outsold by the country’s best-selling car, the Ford Fiesta. The Transit Custom range powered Ford’s share of the commercial vehicle market to 33.2 percent, up nearly two percentage points from October last year, and more than double the market share of the nearest rival. Transit Custom (including the Tourneo Custom people carrier) is now the No.3 top-selling vehicle range in Britain for the year to date.
Ford builds low-emission petrol engine in South Wales

Production has now begun of an all-new, fuel-efficient petrol engine at the Bridgend Engine Plant in South Wales. The three-cylinder, 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine, which debuts in the Fiesta ST and all-new Focus, is built on an all-new flexible manufacturing facility following of an investment of £100 million, including support from the Welsh Government support.
Ford adds estate model to upgraded Mondeo hybrid line-up

Ford will enhance the Mondeo hybrid petrol-electric vehicle range, including the introduction of the first Mondeo hybrid estate from 2019. The new Mondeo hybrid estate will enable customers who require greater load-carrying capability to benefit from the efficiency and refinement of an electric powertrain, while maintaining the driving range and freedom offered by a traditional combustion engine.
Ford updates the S-MAX and Galaxy diesels

The Ford S-MAX and Galaxy are now offered for the first time with the company’s 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine featuring power outputs from 118 bhp to 237 bhp; and with an advanced new eight-speed automatic transmission controlled using a Rotary Gear Shift Dial.
