Nissan dealers gear up for “green flash” EV number plates

Nissan says that its dealers are preparing for the arrival of a new kind of number plate this autumn. The plates are being brought in especially for electric vehicles and have a green flash on the left-hand side to highlight the fact that EVs are emission-free.

JLR Ingenium engine reaches 1.5 million milestone

Jaguar Land Rover has now produced over 1.5 million Ingenium engines at its Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, UK, which makes a range of clean and electrified powertrains for all Jaguar and Land Rover models.  

Cupra shows off all-electric el-Born

Cupra confirms that the next model to join the family will be all-electric: the Cupra el-Born. Since its appearance at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the design team has continued to evolve the vehicle’s styling, giving it what the company describes as a sportier character and an even more striking visual appeal.

ICE age ends at VW’s Zwickau plant

The last model with a combustion engine has left the assembly line at the Zwickau car factory. The seventh-generation Golf R Estate with 2.0-litre petrol engine in Oryx White Pearl Effect was produced for a customer in Germany. From today on, only electric models of Volkswagen and in future also of the sister brands Audi and Seat will be produced in Zwickau.
