All-electric BMW iX3 starts at £61,900

BMW will launch the all-electric iX3 in summer 2021. UK customers will be able to choose between the iX3 Premier Edition and BMW iX3 Premier Edition Pro, both offering more standard equipment than the current X3. The BMW X3 will be the brand’s first model offered with a pure-electric drive system, a plug-in hybrid system or petrol and diesel engines.

BMW iX3 – the first all-electric X car

The first fully electric-powered BMW X model has been revealed. The BMW X3 will be the brand’s first model to be available with a pure-electric drive system, a plug-in hybrid system or petrol and diesel engines. BMW says this embodies the Group’s “Power of Choice” strategic approach, with the company supporting the broad spread of customer requirements and statutory regulations around the world.

BMW readies electric iX3 for production

The BMW Group is pursuing its electrification strategy and will release the new BMW iX3 onto the market by the end of 2020. Standard production of the BMW core brand’s first pure electric model will get underway at the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture (BBA) in China in late summer as planned: BBA Plant Dadong will produce the iX3 for the global market. The first of these electric vehicles will be delivered to customers by the end of the year.
