Diesel still the UK’s fastest selling fuel type

Data from Auto Trader, the UK’s largest marketplace for used and new cars, revealed that despite wider market challenges, diesel was the UK’s fastest selling used car fuel type in April. Of the 13 regions and countries tracked, seven featured a diesel as their respective fastest selling, with the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander diesel manual topping the national top 10. It took an average of just 14 days to sell last month.

Electrics and hybrids edge ahead of diesels in used car values

Online car classifieds website Auto Trader is reporting that average used car values in the first quarter of 2016 for alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) – which include electrics and hybrids – have improved by £1,502, or seven per cent, on a year-on-year basis.
