SEAT has unveiled the all-new Leon, adding connectivity, electrified powertrains, automated safety systems in a car designed, developed and built at its facilities in Martorell, Barcelona.

Leasing company DriveElectric predicts almost 100,000 pure EV sales for 2020

At least 98,500 new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) will be registered in the UK in 2020, according to figures from DriveElectric, one of the UK’s leading electric vehicle leasing companies. This figure is based on DriveElectric’s own forecasts, and it would represent a significant increase from 37,850 – the number of battery electric vehicles registered in the UK in 2019. This would mean a 260 per cent rise for BEV registrations in 2020 compared to 2019. The figure does not include plug-in hybrids (PHEVs).

The company says that with immediate delivery and short rental periods from two years up to five years, Ready4Business gives SME customers flexibility in the current uncertain business climate.

Audi launches multi-supplier one-card charging for e-tron models

With the help of the new e-tron Charging Service, owners of electrified Audi models can now plug and pay at hundreds of charge points across the UK and Europe with a single tap, and without being encumbered by subscriptions to numerous suppliers. The key to the new service is an RFID card that unlocks access to a sizeable network of charge points operated by 18 companies in the UK – including IONITY, Pod Point, Source London and Instavolt – as well as two attractive fixed tariffs and free roaming abroad, yet generates only one monthly invoice for carriers in the interest of simplicity.
