Skoda is stoking anticipation of the all-new Skoda Octavia vRS iV. The Czech manufacturer has released three official exterior design sketches showing the sporty range-topper for the fourth Octavia generation, which will have its world premiere on 3 March at the Geneva Motor Show.
The first prototypes of the new van from London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) are now being built at the company’s state-of-the-art factory in Ansty, Coventry, ahead of its debut at this year’s CV show on the 28th April. LEVC says the due to the advanced manufacturing flexibility of the LEVC factory, it has been possible to build these verification prototypes on the same line, fully integrated with current TX production.
The Volkswagen Golf has returned, now in its eighth generation, with UK customers able to order the new model from 6 February. Prices for diesel models start at £24,875 with the Golf Life 2.0 TdI 115 PS (113 bhp) 6-speed manual. Volkswagen is describing the Golf 8 and the most connected car it has produced to date.
In response to customer demand, Hyundai Motor UK has announced that customer waiting times for the new 2020 Kona Electric will be significantly reduced. The move follows a ramp up in availability of its sought-after fully electric model, through the introduction of production in its European Czech-based plant and by increasing existing supply from its facility in Ulsan, South Korea.
