Kia reveals hybrid and diesel powertrains for the new Sorento

Kia Motors Corporation has revealed details of the next-generation Sorento’s new platform and powertrains today. The latest Sorento will be the first SUV to be based on Kia’s new platform when production commences later this year. With a compact engine bay structure, shorter overhangs and a longer wheelbase, the platform “supports the car’s stylish new design and on-road posture, as well as its comfortable ride and satisfying handling traits”. The overall length has been extended by 10mm more than its predecessor, while the wheelbase is up 35mm to 2,815mm.

Citroën diesel car line-up now fully RDE-2 compliant

From Wednesday 19 February 2020, the whole of the Citroën passenger car range with BlueHDi diesel engines will comply with the latest ‘Real Driving Emissions Step 2’ standard (officially referred to as Euro 6D). Hyundai to unveil Prophecy electric concept at Geneva

Hyundai Motor Company will unveil its new concept EV, “Prophecy”, expressing the company’s latest design language, at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show, on March 3, 2020. The concept will remain on display until March 15. In line with Hyundai’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design philosophy, the new concept “embodies a beautiful silhouette accentuated by graceful curves flowing over broad rear flanks that provide excellent aerodynamics”. The boat-tail line created by the rear quarter panels is complemented by the integrated spoiler and pixel lamp taillights.
