Hyundai launches Ioniq as standalone EV brand

Hyundai Motor Company today announced the launch of its new Ioniq brand dedicated to battery electric vehicles. Under the Ioniq brand, Hyundai will offer “customer centric EV experiences centered on connected lifestyle solutions in line with Hyundai’s vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’”.

Kia boosts UK supply for e-Niro

Since its launch in 2018, the Kia e-Niro has acquired a growing list of back orders. For 2020 Kia Motors (UK) Ltd. says it has worked alongside Kia Motors Corporation in Korea to increase the UK supply to satisfy customers and in July, Kia UK delivered more e-Niros in one month than in the entirety of 2019. Now, into H2 of 2020, availability has been increased even further, allowing for the shortest lead times for the MY20 e-Niro since launch. Customers who order a MY20 e-Niro now can expect to receive their car in September, in time for the new ‘70’ registration plate change or during Quarter Four.

Mild hybrid power for updated Kia Stonic

First Polestar 2 delivered in Europe

Polestar has delivered the first European Polestar 2 customer car at the company’s global headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Thunder-coloured fastback is specified with a Charcoal WeaveTech vegan interior. “I ordered my Polestar 2 on launch day,” said Sture Stensson upon receiving his car. “This is my first electric vehicle and I have mounted solar panels on the roof for easy charging at home. I have read all the great reviews in the papers and online, and picked up many new cars throughout the years, but this is the greatest moment so far.”
