The new Land Rover Discovery Sport has been enhanced with mild-hybrid Ingenium diesel engines and the latest Pivi and Pivi Pro infotainment system. Following the launch of the P300e plug-in hybrid earlier in 2020, a number of additional new engine options are now available for the Discovery Sport, including Land Rover’s next generation of four-cylinder diesel engines.
The new Volkswagen ID.3 has set its first range record: The electric car covered the 531 kilometres (330 miles) from Zwickau to Schaffhausen (Switzerland) on a single charge. Officially, the model has a range of up to 420 kilometers (261 miles, WLTP). This mark was topped by more than 100 kilometres (62 miles) – an increase of 26 percent.
DS Automobiles and Robins & Day continue their DS UK expansion by opening the doors to the largest British showroom to date. The new DS STORE LEICESTER will hold 17 workshop bays, with the possibility of adding a further six bays during peak times, and a used cars site which will eventually house more than 150 models across Groupe PSA brands, with customers able to access thousands of vehicles through Robins & Day’s own stock system.
Following the global unveil of the new fourth generation Sorento in March, Kia has announced pricing and specification information for the UK market. The Sorento is the flagship for Kia’s European SUV line-up, alongside the Stonic, Niro and Sportage.
Volvo’s electrification programme has now delivered a second plug-in petrol-electric hybrid powertrain for the XC40 compact SUV. The introduction of the new XC40 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid T4 increases customer choice and opens the plug-in hybrid technology to a wider market. At the same time, two new mild-hybrid petrol options have been added to the range, in the form of the new XC40 B4 and B5.
