Revamped Jaguar XF features mild hybrid diesel tech

The new Jaguar XF Saloon and XF Sportbrake feature enhanced exteriors, an all-new interior incorporating luxurious new materials, and new technology, including a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine featuring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology. The new range has been streamlined from 64 to 28 derivatives.
Mercedes launches six-model EV offensive

Mercedes says its new generation of electric vehicles will be based on a custom-developed architecture, which is scalable in every aspect and can be used across model series. The wheelbase and track as well as all other system components, especially the batteries, are variable thanks to the modular design. This vehicle architecture makes it possible to build Mercedes-Benz electric cars from saloons to large SUVs.
Crossland previews Vauxhall’s new look

Vauxhall has released first images of the new Crossland ahead of order books opening later this year. Customer deliveries of the new compact SUV will commence in early 2021. The new Crossland is the second vehicle to feature the brand’s new bold design language, including the new Vauxhall Vizor front-end introduced on the all-new Mokka. Like the Mokka, the Vauxhall Crossland has dropped the X suffix in its name.
Lotus wins UK government funding for EV development

An engineering partnership led by Lotus has won UK Government support and funding to develop an all-new next-generation Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) architecture. The news was confirmed by the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC).
