Nissan has announced the start of production for the MY20 Leaf range, which includes a new entry-grade 62kWh model and lower ‘On the Road’ pricing for the range-topping Tekna e+.
The new A-Class Exclusive Edition is now available to order, with prices starting from £34,005 for the A 200 d. The A 220 d is priced from £38,095. The new Exclusive Edition is based on the AMG Line Executive equipment line which already comes as standard with the MBUX infotainment system, including ‘Hey Mercedes’ virtual assistant, and a 10.25-inch high-resolution media display.
The Volkswagen Golf GTD is now available to UK customers, priced from £32,790. It follows the GTI and GTE models, which were also recently opened for order to British buyers. The diesel-powered newcomer is the most powerful Golf GTD to date. Volkswagen says it offers the benefits of both high-performance and long range, with up to 600 miles available from a single tank of fuel, a top speed of 152 mph and a 0-62 mph sprint time of 7.1 seconds allied to strong in-gear acceleration.
SEAT’s debut plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the Leon e-HYBRID, is now available to order, priced from £30,970. The e-HYBRID drivetrain combines a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine with an electric motor and six-speed DSG transmission, resulting in a total power output of 201 bhp and a 0-62mph time of 7.5 seconds.
