Kia makes three-millionth car in Europe

Kia Motors has manufactured its three millionth car in Europe since production began in Žilina, Slovakia in 2006. The three millionth car to roll off the production line is a Kia cee’d. The car is a fusion white five-door hatchback in ‘GT-Line’ specification, built for a customer in Iceland. It is fitted with a 1.0-litre T-GDi (Turbo Gasoline-Direct injection) engine.

First fully electric Audi to be made at CO2-neutral Brussels plant
Audi says the world’s first certified CO2-neutral high-volume production plant in the premium segment will shortly begin production of its first fully electric series production model. Audi Brussels has been awarded a “CO2-neutral site” certificate by the Belgian testing company Vinçotte. The site covers all production processes and all other emissions generated at the plant either by renewable energies (approximately 95 percent) or compensates for them with environmental projects (approximately 5 percent).
Nissan unveils ambitious electrification and in-car technology plans for 2022
Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has unveiled plans to launch growing numbers of electrified vehicles, expand and evolve autonomous driving systems, and accelerate vehicle connectivity as part of its Nissan M.O.V.E. to 2022 midterm plan. Among the targets, Nissan is aiming to sell 1 million electrified vehicles – either pure electric models or those with e-POWER powertrains – annually by fiscal year 2022.
New Volkswagen Touareg reaches world premiere event after Bratislava to Beijing marathon

The long-distance specialist Rainer Zietlow and his team are among the guests of honour at the world premiere of the third generation Volkswagen Touareg in Beijing this week. The adventurer and his companions drove to the world premiere in Beijing over land in a camouflaged prototype of the new Volkswagen Touareg. The team spent a total of 21 days on the “Bratislava2Beijing” tour.
