Range-topping Ultimate models join Grandland X and Astra line-ups

Vauxhall has introduced the top-of-the-line Ultimate trim to not only the Grandland X but also to the Astra Hatch. The Vauxhall Grandland X Ultimate has been teamed with the new 2.0 litre diesel engine that is supported by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The new diesel engine delivers 175 bhp at 3,750rpm and 295 ft lb of torque at 2,000rpm.

Volkswagen adds R-Line models to SUV range

The two newest members of Volkswagen’s growing SUV line-up – the T-Roc compact SUV and practical Tiguan Allspace seven-seat SUV – are now available to order in R-Line trim. The new range-topping trim level – offered across a selection of engine and gearbox combinations in both model ranges – adds distinctive sports styling inside and out along with equipment upgrades and enhancements commensurate with the top spec’ positioning of the R-Line trim.
PSA sets up new electric vehicles unit

To respond to the challenges of the energy transition and to build an efficient and coherent offering of electric mobility solutions, PSA Group has this month created a Business Unit (BU) dedicated to electric vehicles. PSA says the new BU will have a global scope and will leverage all factors necessary to deliver models that meet customer expectations, in line with the highest service standards. The BU will be responsible for defining and deploying the Group’s electric vehicle strategy and rolling out the related products and services.
PSA invests in Luton for the next Vauxhall Vivaro

PSA Group intends to increase its manufacturing capacity in the compact vans segment and will begin supplying its customers from the Luton plant by 2019 in addition to the existing Hordain facility in France.
