Renault rejigs Clio, Captur and Mégane ranges

Renault is announcing a new line-up for its Clio, Captur and Mégane ranges, with the option of three trim levels – Play, Iconic and GT Line – available on each model. The company says the new line-up symbolises its EasyLife philosophy – simplifying choice and offering improved specification whilst offering a visually appealing vehicle at every price point and reducing prices to offer even better value.

Order books open for revised Mercedes C-Class

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon and Estate are now available to order, with prices starting from £35,690 for the petrol-powered C 220 d SE Saloon. Prices for the C 220 d SE Estate start at £36,890. The updated C-Class features a range of new, more efficient diesel and petrol engines. A 12.3-inch digital cockpit display is now optionally available which, together with a 10.25-inch infotainment display, further enhances the luxurious cabin. The latest in driving assistance technology is also available as an option.

PSA Direct used car scheme launched

Customers of Peugeot, Citroën and DS cars now have a wider choice of used cars than ever before, with the introduction of the new PSA Direct programme this month. Following a successful pilot in 2017, the Group will offer a centrally advertised pool of ex-management Peugeot, Citroën and DS cars to customers nationwide, allowing the customer to nominate their Dealer of choice.

Honda Civic four-door saloon bound for the UK

Honda UK has announced the four door saloon version of the Civic is coming to the UK market. Built in Turkey, the Civic saloon will be available with both petrol and diesel powertrains and will be on dealer forecourts from August. The petrol version will be the 1.0 i-VTEC available on the Civic hatchback since launch and comes with either the CVT or manual transmission. The 1.6 i-DTEC diesel powertrain was launched earlier this year in the hatchback and will be available with the same manual transmission or a new nine-speed automatic.

Ford extends Transit Custom plug-in hybrid trials to Valencia

Ford is already investigating how plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) can operate in London, and has now announced it will also begin testing of similar vehicles in Valencia in Spain. The collaboration between Ford Smart Mobility, the regional government of Valencia and the Valencia City leadership, is designed to see how Transit Custom PHEV fleets could contribute to cleaner air targets and enhanced productivity.
