Volvo has become the first car manufacturer in the UK to homologate its entire model range under the new Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). All Volvo petrol, diesel and hybrid models now comply with the stringent ‘Euro 6d-temp’ standard for tailpipe emissions, as part of the firm’s model-year 2019 range update which started production in April.
The new Volvo V60 mid-size estate is now available to order in the UK, with on-the-road prices starting at £31,810 for the D3 Momentum manual version. The V60 is Volvo’s second new-generation 60 series model – after the XC60 SUV – and is built on the company’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform. Every engine is a Drive-E unit, designed and built by Volvo. The V60 also brings much of the connectivity, entertainment and safety technology from the larger 90 series cars – the S90 saloon, V90 estate and XC90 SUV – to the mid-size estate segment.
Skoda retailers are doubling up on customer cover with a new two-year warranty package deal. Customers who purchase a qualifying Approved Used Skoda during May and June through Skoda Financial Services will get the reassurance of an extra 12 months warranty cover added to the standard 1-year cover.
The all-new Kia Ceed is making its UK debut at the London Motor Show ahead of its on-sale date from 1 August this year. The Ceed will be displayed on the World Car of the Year stand at ExCel London from the 17-20 May.
Mercedes-Benz has added to the C-Class range with the new C-Class Nightfall Edition for all body styles. The Nightfall Edition of the C-Class features powder coated matt black wheels; matching black wing mirrors; graphics; carbon rear spoiler (on Coupé and Cabriolet); and a choice of Iridium Silver; Selenite Grey; or Obsidian Black metallic paint.
