Volvo adds Cross Country models to the V60 range

Volvo Cars today revealed the new Cross Country version of its V60 mid-size estate. The V60 Cross Country is the latest addition to the line-up of brand-new Volvos and adds the capability on and off the beaten track that the company says has defined its Cross Country range since its introduction in 1997, taking the V60 from the suburb to the skogen (Swedish for forest). 

Peugeot launches new plug-in hybrid petrol engine range

Peugeot has announced the launch of its new Plug-in Hybrid petrol engine range. The new engines are available for the Peugeot 3008 SUV, and all-new Peugeot 508 and 508 SW. Peugeot’s new HYBRID engines give Peugeot drivers the chance to experience new driving modes in their cars, including the ZEV 100% electric mode, 4-wheel drive mode with the HYBRID4, Sport mode, Comfort mode or Hybrid mode.

Improved Jeep Cherokee on the way

Jeep has upgraded the Cherokee, which will be offered in the UK in Limited and Overland trim levels and with the 2.2-litre MultiJet 192 bhp engine with automatic transmission. Upgraded diesel engine for the Nissan Qashqai

Nissan says the appeal of the Qashqai is now greater than ever, thanks to the launch of an upgraded 1.5-litre diesel engine. The enhanced 113 bhp unit offers drivers a 5 bhp increase in power over the 108 bhp of the previous generation. Torque remains the same at 192 ft lb, though the engine now features an all-new overboost function. This delivers an extra 5 bhp and 18 ft lb of torque for up to 15 seconds of driving.

Ford updates the S-MAX and Galaxy diesels

The Ford S-MAX and Galaxy are now offered for the first time with the company’s 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine featuring power outputs from 118 bhp to 237 bhp; and with an advanced new eight-speed automatic transmission controlled using a Rotary Gear Shift Dial.
