New engine line-up for updated BMW 7-Series

In addition to exterior and interior design changes, BMW has updated the 7 Series engine range to include a new eight-cylinder engine and an in-line six-cylinder unit with plug-in hybrid system offering extended electric range. The BMW 7 Series will continue to be offered in standard and long wheelbase body variants. The longer version of the luxury saloon has a wheelbase extended by 14 centimetres over the standard car to 3,210 millimetres. Both variants have grown by 22 millimetres over their respective predecessors

MG opens the order books for all-electric ZS EV

MG Motor UK has opened the order bank and released further details about its first-ever fully electric car that has been unveiled at the London Motor Show at London’s ExCel. Customers will be able to place a deposit for the ZS EV directly with the MG team at the show. The ZS EV is powered by a 44.5kWh water-cooled battery with rapid-charging capability that will enable it to be recharged from 0-80 per cent in 43 minutes, while domestic charging on a 7kW unit takes six-and-a-half hours from 0-100 per cent. Certified range on current WLTP test regulations is expected to be confirmed in Q3.

Order books open for the all-electric Mercedes EQC 4MATIC

The new Mercedes-Benz EQC 4MATIC is now available to order, with prices starting at £65,640 for the EQC 400 4MATIC Sport. The EQC is the first fully-electric vehicle from Mercedes-Benz’s new EQ brand. It is powered by an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery which has a range of 259 miles (WLTP) and an output of 402 bhp and 564 ft lb of torque. It can travel from 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 111 mph.

Straight six and mild hybrid tech for the Range Rover

Land Rover has offering a new engine and mild hybrid technology for its Range Rover flagship. With the latest 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, “enhanced performance and quicker responses go hand-in-hand with improved fuel economy at the pinnacle of the luxury SUV segment”.

Fiat offers three-year £199 servicing package

Customers who buy a new Fiat can benefit from a new fixed-price service plan from FCA’s aftersales business, Mopar. For £199, on top of the purchase price, Fiat customers can take advantage of the Easy Care service plan, which covers all planned maintenance for their vehicle over a three-year period or up to a mileage limitation.
